RUMORS!!!!!!

Well, a surprise to us... there were rumors posted and this time, it went exceptionally fast. One day they mention word of rumors but of no matching and the next they are being mailed. Referrals are expected to arrive at the agencies on Monday so we should hear something by Monday or Tuesday of next week.

The Rumor is posted as follows:

February 26th, 2010
Two agencies are confirming that the CCAA has mailed referrals, and that they should arrive Monday. I’ll give that rumor an R5.
I’m still seeing a lot of reports of either the 11th or the 12 being the cut off. I will give it an R3 that the cut off is either the 11th or the 12th.

R5 means that it is definite, R1 is the lowest so R3 is in the middle. This brings us that much closer to receiving a referral.

If they match up to, and including, the 12th that would be Great as it would put us, most likely, at receiving a referral in April. If they get up to, and including the 11th, that would put us, most likely, at receiving a referral in May. The 12th would make it a very large batch and would be GREAT!!!! but we have learned that it can change and anything can happen even as I type this post to the blog.

Pictures from the Chinese New Year Celebration

Just a few pictures from the party. I still have not figured out how to get all the pictures on at once. Not sure if I can. The picture of Callie was taken as she received a bump over her eye :-( Poor little thing... she just cried. She ran into one of the chairs outside and hit her head :-(

2010 Chinese New Year Celebration - The Year of the Tiger

Saturday, February 13, 2010: Dennis, Callie and I had our first Chinese New Year Party. We had a great time!!! The party started at 12:00 (noon) and most people stayed until approximately 6:00 P.M. There was plenty of food as we had served a B-B-Q which consisted of: hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken on a stick (Asian style). We had brown rice, sauerkraut, beans and condiments for all the food. Drinks were water, soda, beer and wine and flavored water for the kids. Appetizers were dips, chips, etc... Dessert was a cupcake cake, fortune cookies and homemade chocolate.

The kids enjoyed the playset as the parents either ran after them on the playset or had the opportunity to sit and relax and enjoy each others company. Some played soccer, some played volleyball and others played basketball.

Callie had the best time with the kids. She was kept very busy running around and playing with every toy in her basket. She loved it!!!! and she slept quite well following the party.

There are plenty of pictures and a couple of videos but I have to figure out how to get them all on. For now, I'll just post the one.

Thank you, again, to all our friends for coming. We had a GREAT time and we are looking forward to many more celebrations at The Hertzlers.

RQ Site / Cut-off Date

Well, it appears as if the C2A2 has matched up to, and including, April 5, 2006. That brings us two days closer to our LID of April 18, 2006. When I first read this rumor I was quite upset as, once again, they only matched two days. Then I do what I normally do... say to myself that we can continue to save our money and work on projects in the house.

Then I spoke with Dennis and he reminded me that we were all thinking that they would only match one day so two days is good news.
