Saturday, February 13, 2010: Dennis, Callie and I had our first Chinese New Year Party. We had a great time!!! The party started at 12:00 (noon) and most people stayed until approximately 6:00 P.M. There was plenty of food as we had served a B-B-Q which consisted of: hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken on a stick (Asian style). We had brown rice, sauerkraut, beans and condiments for all the food. Drinks were water, soda, beer and wine and flavored water for the kids. Appetizers were dips, chips, etc... Dessert was a cupcake cake, fortune cookies and homemade chocolate.
The kids enjoyed the playset as the parents either ran after them on the playset or had the opportunity to sit and relax and enjoy each others company. Some played soccer, some played volleyball and others played basketball.
Callie had the best time with the kids. She was kept very busy running around and playing with every toy in her basket. She loved it!!!! and she slept quite well following the party.
There are plenty of pictures and a couple of videos but I have to figure out how to get them all on. For now, I'll just post the one.
Thank you, again, to all our friends for coming. We had a GREAT time and we are looking forward to many more celebrations at The Hertzlers.
