Today we received a GREAT Memorial Day Gift from Anne at Red Thread...

Some updated photos and information of our precious baby girl.

She currently is 26 inches and weighs 16.76 pounds. She has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth (although I do not see them in the pictures).

She is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Now... if we can only receive our TA!!!!

Mommy and Daddy are coming Makaila... We love you lots and your puppy Callie sends some licks!!!

She will be: Makaila Mei Hertzler

On 11/24/2009 the following information was given: 5.2 kg (11.46 lbs.), 57.5 cm (23 inches).

The referral pictures were taken on 11/23/2009 (3 months old).

DOB: August 30, 2009

Province: Jiangxi

Orphanage: SWI of Yugan County

We were given the following information: Deep sleeper, holds her head up while lying on her stomach, locates the direction of sound/voice, visually follows moving toys, follows you with moving head from one side to the other, laughs aloud, knows name, turns when called, is active, restless and quick in reaction. She is closest to her caretaker.

She is currently 8 1/2 months old. We received her official package today and have accepted the referral and have already FedEx'd it out priority. At this time we do not know when we will travel. Our best guess is end of June beginning of July. Once the acceptance package has been received by China, we should receive updated information from them. They "try" to send this information out prior to travelling. We do not know how big she is currently as we only have information from when she was 3 months old. Her pediatrician has reviewed the paperwork and pictures received and everything looks good.

We are IN LOVE with her and CANNOT wait to travel so we can hold her in our arms FOREVER!!!!

Well, referrals have been mailed and received and families have received their pictures of their babies. Unfortunately, once again, we were not included in that batch BUT... we are DEFINITELY NEXT. For the month of April they matched up to, and including, April 17, 2006 so there is no mistaken that we ARE NEXT!!!!!

Dennis, Callie and I are VERY excited and can't wait for the beginning of May as that is when we expect to receive our referral. The month of April is going to be one VERY LONG MONTH for us.

RUMOR!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so I hopped onto RQ this morning only to find out that there is a rumor that the CCAA is PREPARING to Match.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE... keep your fingers crossed for some good news. I don't expect to see anything until next week.

3rd UPDATE to Rumors

OK, I am not jumping the gun here but I will say I am DEFINITELY feeling the excitement now. The following was posted on RQ's site as a prediction of what she feels will happen for next months referrals (this information was JUST posted this morning):
She predicts that they will match up to, and including, APRIL 20TH, 2006!!!! If that is the case then we would be included within that batch of referrals.

Of course, when Dennis reads it he continues to tell me not to get my hopes up as he really feels that we will be receiving a referral in May/June timeframe.

Sorry, but when I see us ACTUALLY being included in a batch of referrals for THE VERY FIRST TIME... I can't help but to get excited.

2nd UPDATE to Rumors

It has been confirmed. The CCAA has matched up to and including April 11, 2006. Dennis and I really don't expect to get a referral next month either. We are thinking more of May for a match. Unless CCAA has something up their sleeve - we can guess May, possibly June, to receive our referral

It is hard to believe that they are only a week away from our LID of 04/18/2006 and it can still take up to 3 months to receive a referral.

UPDATE to Rumors

Well, it appears as if they have only matched up to April 11th, 2006. Funny, this puts us one week away from our LID and yet it could still take us to May/June timeframe to receive our referral. We are guessing May but ya never know and we have learned NEVER to get our hopes up.
